Ocean and Coastal Law Journal: Now Accepting Submissions for Volume 31

The University of Maine School of Law's Ocean and Coastal Law Journal (OCLJ) is excited to solicit articles for Volume 31, Issues 1 and 2, for review and publication for Fall 2025 or later. OCLJ is an academic legal journal based out of the University of Maine School of Law that focuses on legal issues related to domestic and international use, management, and conservation of the ocean and coast. 

For the thirty-first volume, articles concerning the ocean economy and the impacts of international trade on the world's oceans will receive special consideration. Additionally, any Articles featuring discussions of novel issues related to ocean and coastal issues will also receive special consideration.

To be considered for publication, please send the document in Word Document format to OCLJeditor@maine.edu or submit via Scholastica for consideration for inclusion in Volume 31. Footnote citations should follow The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (Columbia L. Rev. Ass'n et al. eds., 21st ed. 2020). Please also submit a current resumé or CV with your article. If articles are originally written in a language other than English, both the article and the footnotes should be translated before submission. All articles will be considered on a rolling basis.
